Stefan Hampden principal

After graduating from the University of Colorado, Stefan worked for architectural firms in New York, Boulder, and Seattle, as well as teaching as an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado. Graduating from the University of Washington School of Architecture in 1997 with a Masters of Architecture, Stefan founded CAST, in 1999 with Matt Hutchins. In addition to working as a partner in CAST Stefan is a regular part time lecturer at the University of Washington School of Architecture.

Matt Hutchins principal matt@CASTarchitecture.com
Graduated with Honors from the University of Colorado and Arizona State University. Prior to CAST, Matt practiced in Boulder, Aspen and Phoenix, designing custom residential, mixed-use and commercial buildings. He has taught design drawing at the University of Washington School of Architecture, undergraduate design studios at Arizona State University, and has written articles for Building Edge Magazine. He is an artist with a primary focus in wood block printmaking.

Kevin O'Leary partner kevin@castarchitecture.com
Kevin has focused on mixed-use, multi-family residential, and commercial projects with a broad mix of governmental, hospitality and public sector work. During his fifteen years of professional experience, he has pursued design excellence and thoughtfully crafted construction. Kevin has worked at Pb Elemental, Mithun, and Kohn Pederson Fox. He has also been self employed as a design/builder, executing a number of residential projects. Kevin received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati.

Tim graduated from Montana State University in 1996 with a degree in art. After working as a designer and art director Tim attended the University of Washington School of Architecture, earning a Masters of Architecture degree that culminated in an 18-month research scholarship to study urban housing in Japan. |

Forrest Murphy project manager forrest@castarchitecture.com
Forrest has a wide range of experience working with private and public clients from the non-profit sector. He has worked with religious institutions such as Temple Beth Am, Seattle University School of Theology, and Temple Ahavath Beth Israel; with cultural institutions such as the Wing Luke Asian Museum, the Squaxin Island Tribe and the Burke Museum of Natural History; and with educational institutions such as the University of Washington, Peninsula College, Seattle Central Community College, Grays Harbor College and Olympic College.
Prior to coming to CAST, Forrest worked with Schacht | Aslani Architects in Seattle and Torres/LaPeņa Arquitectos in Barcelona, Spain.
Forrest is a registered architect in the State of Washington and is a LEED accredited professional. He received a Master of Architecture from Yale University.
