Set on a steeply sloped side, this home can be entered from either level. At 800 square feet, it provides 1 bedroom and 1.5 baths. The cottage features a vaulted open plan upper living level, with sleeping below.
A glass façade is oriented toward the mountain view. The house has smaller windows on the other three sides, thoughtfully orientated for privacy.
Green Building: The design is targeting 4-Star Built Green with reduced air filtration, energy-efficient heating, cooling, and water heating systems. It uses low-VOC recycled and renewable materials, no fossil fuel appliances, and all LED lighting.
